FUTERA TRADING CARDS – why are we different?

Trading cards are bought and generally traded by collectors, for example between dealers and private customers and perhaps through sites such as EBAY or YAHOO, in order to complete a set and particularly to find the special or rare cards.

Most collectors are fans of the particular Trading Card subject matter (e.g. a particular sport or character), although we do have customers who simply collect all Futera branded cards we produce due to their high quality and rarity.

Over the 20 years since the Futera brand was created, it has produced trading cards on a very wide variety of subjects of golf, cricket, rugby, surfing, basketball, baseball, etc. Additionally, Futera has produced collections for the TV/Entertainment world including Barbie, the Feature Film Chicken Run, TV series Sci-fi Red Dwarf and Australia’s TV sitcom Shortland Street.

Due to the specialist nature of our collections involving the sourcing of a significant library of memorabilia and autographs, it would be usual for just 1 or 2 Futera collections to be released during any one year.

Futera – the rarity factor

  • Our Limited Edition collection production runs are less than 1/3rd smaller than other Publishers. This makes our cards rare. We also tend to individually number our special cards. In fact, Futera was the first Publisher in the world to individually number its Insert Cards.
  • Futera uses rare and/or unusual materials in its manufacture for example we’ve produced cards in 24ct Gold, Porcelain, Crystal and even diamonds!
  • Thousands of our cards are hand-crafted and individually numbered.

OTHER COLLECTIBLES: In addition to Futera’s Trading Card Collections, we produce other collectibles such as Stickers, Phonecards and Playing Cards.
